Welcome to my page!
Welcome!
My name is Jenna Albi, and I am a first year Elementary Special Education teacher at Imani Education Circle Charter School in Philadelphia. The field of Special Education is something I am very passionate about, and I could not be more excited about finally making it my career. I recently graduated from the University of Delaware where I received a certification in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Human Development and Family studies.I am now a student at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education where I am working toward my Master's degree in Urban Special Education as a Teach for America Corps Member. I encourage you to navigate through my page to see how my classroom environment and culture is focused on both academic and personal GROWTH for my students. Enjoy!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE IMANI CHEERLEADERS FOR TAKING HOME THE 1ST PLACE TROPHY AT THEIR FIRST EVER CHEERLEADING COMPETITION! I am so proud to be the founder and coach of such a talented and motivated group of young women!
I also love to travel and immerse myself in new cultures. This past January I volunteered with IVHQ Volunteers as an English teacher in the Rocinha favella in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at a surf school, Rocinha Surfe Escola. When I wasn't teaching English, I was learning how to surf and hike through Rio with my students. It was an incredible experience and I cannot wait to return to teach there again!
